Get to know me
As an experienced editor with a strong background in IT and internet publishing, I bring a valuable set of skills to any editing team.
Like most editors, I have an eye for detail and good memory for obscure grammatical rules. I am confident in my skills, highly organized, and very much a people person. I love to work with authors, and my editing style affords a lot of explanation for the changes I make. My goal as an editor is to make the author's voice as clear and strong as possible. In my eyes, an editor should complement more than control the texts on which they work.
Previously, I worked for LDS Living magazine as an assistant editor. My duties included writing online and print articles, editing articles, proofing copy, supervising interns, and managing freelance writers for the magazine. Some of my previous work online and in print can be found by clicking the links above. Of course, more samples and information are always available upon request.
Currently, I work at BYU managing an IT support call center, but still enjoy writing when I can!
